Database Error -Log In Impossible

I’ve messed up and may have to reinstall WP, but thought I would ask first.
In the general settings I was put www in FRONT of http:// for the WP site directory and now it is showing database error when I tried to log on and erase that stupid mistake.

Can any happiness engineers fix it? It is completely frustrating, the only reason is I am having that problem where you have to reset you password every time you log on to the site and could not seem to resolve it, and then this… sigh. I am a complete idiot.

Hi,

Having issues when I update the permalinks. When I change the permalink setting to post name I am getting a Error establishing a database connection error on all pages except the homepage. Anyone any ideas on how to fix this?

Could someone please assist me into getting my database running again.

I am building my website using AMMPS and came across this problem after my scratch discs were almost full
I ran a test and these came-up.

I keep on receiving the following error:

Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysqlssd2.zadns.co.za. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

I double checked everything my in the wp-config file all is fine

Please HELP… 🙂

Last week, I just got through updating a wordpress theme on a site that I have had for years. Plugins all were updated. THE VERY NEXT DAY 4.6 came out. And I updated it. I don’t know if it has anything to do with this or not. (I assume not, because this has been an ongoing issue for years.)

EVERYDAY, consistently, I am having to contact my hosting provider about the same damn issue.

“Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at internal-db.servername.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.”

While in the dashboard, I could be in the middle of saving a post, uploading an image, adding a product, doing a search on a product, writing, editing, BREATHING and suddenly I get the error message above. Or there would be this CONSTANT LAG time. Like it is saving. SAVING. SAVING!!! Saving another version into the browser.

Then my front end, states, “Error establishing a database connection”.

Then I spend a morning, afternoon or wee hours of the night with my hosting provider trying to figure out what is wrong??? EVERYDAY, I have been on the phone, chat with my hosting provider from 3 to 5 hours.

They have moved all of my stuff to another server. I have been a long time customer so they are doing me a favor.

YET, here we are AGAIN. Facing the same issue. And as well as countless others that I have seen on the forums trying to find the answer to this problem. I STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE ANSWER IS.

It would be nice if someone from WP could explain to me what do I need to do? To “establish a connection” so I can get back to work on my sites.

WordPress database error

I’m getting a WordPress database error after updating WP to 4.6.1 and CAS to 3.3.2. It’s very similar to the problem described here:

But no solution was posted, just that the issue was resolved.

Multisite Errors, Querying for non-existent tables

Just an example. I have 181 different “sites” on the Multisite network, and every time it is fired for one of them, I get this error. Is it really necessary? I’m not proficient enough to be able to refactor. :/

Error establishing a database connection

I followed all the directions but when I try to launch WP (or connect it to the databese) I get an error establishing a database connection.

* I created a folder one step down from my root domain (so I can create/troubleshoot the site then move it later), then FTP’d the WP files into it: www.tsoup.com/schroeder
* I accessed my cPanel, created a database, username and password.
* Then I went to the www folder I created, signed into the WP-admin interface, got to the setup-configuration file page, added the database, username, password and localhost into the form, and I get an error message saying there is an error establishing a database connection.
* I called my web host just to be sure and they said that “localhost” is correct.

So what could the error be from? Do I need to add some sort of prefix to the database name because it’s one step below the root domain? I can’t figure it out.

website hacked, database error – how to show clients a page

hi there,
the websites of some clients is hacked again. the last time i just need to restore a backup but now the databse is broken. i can’t fix this for now.
so, is there any possibility to create a php which will show instead of the warning message of the browser? i created a php which will show up if the database is broken. so i fixed that.

I have notice during the upgrade of both Version 2.6.6 and 2.6.7 the following PHP notice in my logs, with debug on.

It only happens during the update. During normal operations, there is no issue, but I don’t know whether this can have side effects.

Any recommendation on how to resolve this and can this be reproduce by others?

wfHoover table doesn’t exist

I am receiving the following error:

Hi. Your plugin is nice. But sometimes result in a database error in my apache error.log. One example is shown below:

I am very new to this. I have had my website up and running for nearly a month, however this past weekend i have had numerous problems. When i attempt to visit my site i get a database error connection problem and the site wont load. Can anyone please assist?

error message – while installing woocommerce plugin into my wordpress dashboard

Hello,

I am from India & Currently working on my own ecommerce website with no programming knowledge, and i am just starting from scratch.

i actually tried installing plugin of woocommerce into my account but recieving error. i tried deleting my wordpress account and re installing but still i am unable to install woocommerce.

i tried searching for a solution on youtube & google and also tried uploading woocommerce latest & 2.6.8 versions using ftp method and by uploading zip file directly through the upload option but i am finding error message.

when i tried uploading it directly through zip file, i recieved an error as ‘ERROR ESTABLISHING DATABASE CONNECTION’

Also, when i tried installing through plugin section by searching woocommerce, i recieved this error ‘Installation failed: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”> 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at admin@main-hosting.eu to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.’

Please help me troubleshooting the situation, or else atleast let me know of any other ecommerce plugin, which helps me in creating shopping cart and other items for a total ecommerce website, so that i be able to work on my ecommerce website.

SQL-Error when email address has a ‘

There is an SQL error, when a subscribers email address contains a ‘, which is not correctly escaped.

For instance: my’address@example.com
